Gina's 5-Can Chili

2 tbs oil
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped red pepper
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 1/2 lbs of ground beef, chicken or turkey
2 15 oz cans red kidney beans, drained
1 15 oz can corn, drained
1 15 oz can diced tomatoes
1 8 oz can tomato sauce
1 package McCormick's Reduced-Sodium Chili Seasoning
Soy sauce
Salt and pepper
Hot sauce (optional)

Heat oil in a heavy-bottom 4 quart saucepan, then add the onion and peppers and cook until translucent. Add crushed garlic and cook for 1 minute, then add ground meat and cook until the meat is no longer pink. Drain any fat, then add the beans, corn, tomatoes, sauce and chili seasoning. Simmer for about 20 minutes. Add a couple of schlugs of soy sauce, then salt and pepper to taste and hot sauce if desired.
